It's usually faster to just spam the attack button instead of using the charge in most situations.

Hue

When you dismount hue, be sure to hold the jump button if you want a max height jump.

Nippa

Nippa bubble be directed with an angle with up/down on the d-pad. It can also create platform with it's other button. Note that if you are hugging a wall and shooting the platform toward the wall you can repeatly spam the jump and platform button to climb really quickly

Nugget

Nugget speed can be controlled with left and right directions to make him go faster or slower.

Salamancer

Nothing much about them, bounce on them to make cloud appear or change the water from toxic to safe

Skree

You can make Skree fly faster or slower vertically by holding up or down on the d-pad. Can be usefull for quick sections with brambles.
